Alpaca Stacka

I was seriously tempted to put a gif of my full playthrough on this page in place of an actual review. It’s a very short, and very wonderful game.

There’s an alpaca. I’m not sure what more I could want from a game.

In Alpaca Stacka, you play as Paz, a wonderful little alpaca tasked with saving Mama Hen’s chicks from their various mischiefs. You bounce around an island, retrieving chicks, and…

That’s it. That’s the entire game.

Chicken retrieval service, coming through!

The whole game took me seven minutes to play through. A grand, sweeping adventure of chicken misdeeds and squirrel villains, this is not. Rather, it’s a fun little platformer with a cute atmosphere that delivers exactly what it promises and no more. It promises chicken retrieving fun. You get chicken retrieving fun.

After playing several games that feel like they linger and try to be more than they should, Alpaca Stacka is incredibly refreshing and exactly what I was looking for. It’s sweet, it’s wholesome, and it leaves you feeling happy and satisfied. I loved all seven minutes of it, and am glad I grabbed it.
